Formed within Liverpool, England in 1980 by Mike Score, his brother Ali Score, and friends Frank Maudsley and Paul Reynolds, A Flock of Sea gull was the British New Wave band that gained popularity in Europe and the U.S. in the early 1980s.

Their debut recording, Telecommunication, was an underground hit, & a b& later freed many albums (Understand discography, beneath) and were featured in MTV.

Lead guitar player Paul Reynolds left a band before long fallowing the release of the 1984 album The Story of a Young Heart due to some portable problems, & a left band broke higher fallowing a release of their 1986 album, Dream Come True. Mike Score retained rights to the name, & around 1989, he and ternary recently members recorded The Light at the End of the World. Within June, 2005, a todays line-higher appeared on the debut episode of the Our contries edition of NBC's Hit Me Baby One More Time. Besides performing their hit song I Ran (So Far Away), they likewise performed the handle of Ryan Cabrera's "On the Way Down".

I personally Ran (Thus Far Away) was likewise a title track for the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
